Follow The Magpie is a story-led design studio founded by Kayla Rosendorff. She creates small-batch brass brooches and wall hangings designed as modern talismans - objects to wear, keep, or live with.

Each piece begins with a symbol or idea. Influenced by folklore and a design approach that distils meaning into simple forms, her work translates stories into contemporary talismans. Each is accompanied by a short note, allowing object and meaning to sit together.

Kayla works in solid brass for its quiet honesty. Warm, golden and enduring, it is a material that evolves over time. As it reacts to air and touch, it develops a natural patina, recording its environment and becoming unique to the person or place that keeps it.

Her work sits between jewellery and object—pieces that can be worn as brooches or kept as wall hangings, bringing a sense of meaning into everyday life.

The name Follow The Magpie draws on folk tradition and the bird’s instinct to gather what glints - collecting the precious, the curious and the overlooked.
