Working from her garden studio in East Lothian, Rhona creates timeless, elegant jewellery shaped by a attention to detail and process.
Using recycled sterling silver, often combined with ethically sourced gemstones and occasional accents of 18ct gold, her work reflects a considered approach to both materials and making. Inspiration is drawn from the surrounding landscape - the textures of coastline and countryside translated into subtle surface detail and form.
Rhona works primarily with traditional techniques, favouring hand processes that allow for precision and individuality. Intricate hand-piercing, carefully constructed settings, and custom-made fittings are central to her practice, alongside a particular interest in hinged pieces such as lockets and small, intimate objects.
A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art (BA Combined Studies, 2009), Rhona is a member of Visual Arts Scotland. Her work is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office, reflecting a commitment to quality and longevity.
