Seatree Vase Blessed ST58

Description

This hand-built stoneware vase carries lines of poetry stamped letter by letter into the clay before its first firing. After the initial biscuit firing, black underglaze is brushed into the lines to bring out the words and drawing, followed by layers of soft colour. The piece is then high-fired to 1240°C, revealing its painterly finish.

About Seatree

Seatree is a creative partnership between Michaela and Chris, artists working from the wild landscape of Argyll. Their hand-built ceramics combine poetry, texture, and elemental firing, exploring the meeting of material and meaning. Founded in 2016, Seatree’s pieces reflect a shared belief that making by hand is both an artistic and spiritual act of connection.
