Kate’s lino prints are inspired by the coastal landscape and its rich flora and fauna. Kate is particularly drawn to the strandline, where sea meets shore, and she will often be found collecting seaweed, shells, broken pottery and other flotsam and jetsam. Kate uses sketches of these beach finds along with those made of surrounding seascapes, playing with scale and detail, to create the coastal composition for her prints.
